I did not celebrate Thanksgiving in China. However, since Thanksgiving is such an important national holiday in U.S, I would like to say something before Thanksgiving comes. I want to give some thanks.
1. Thanks for my family. I am thankful to them all the time, especially after I came to Webb. Sometimes, I talk to my parents for several hours a day. I have my own trouble and my own concern that can only tell my parents. Everyone can cheat you, but our family will only protect us.
2. Thanks for my teacher. They are so responsible and patient. They respect every idea of mine. They make interesting activities for me to do. I like our projects, researches, and essays. I get what I really want from my teachers.
3. Thanks for my roommate, Doobee. She is such a sweet girl. She is so quiet in our room. I felt very moved when she told me she had late night and went to sleep in the common room every night in case of interrupting me. She helps me in history. Every day, I borrow her history notes. She is polite and respectful. Although she likes music crazily, she never makes any noise in our room. She'a perfect roommate.
4. Thanks for my phone. Every day, I use my phone to contact and check emails. My phone provides me the chance to contact with people quickly and easily. Now using my phone is part of my life. I can't live without it.
5. Thanks for my books. I really improve my English through reading. I have made progress in writing through reading books. Also, reading an English book makes me know a lot about American culture. I will continue to read different English books.
There are so many things I want to make thanks, but these are the top five!
Thank you for reading!

Setting Goals
I like setting goals because goals make me have pursuits
and not be fickle. At present, I have three goals, and all of them are about my
daily life.
First, I will keep my room tidy and clean. My goal is
passing the room inspection every time instead of getting strikes. I can have a
good mood and feel comfortable if my room is tidy. I can find everything more
easily when things are in order.
Second, I will try to go to bed by 11 p.m. everyday. I
hate late nights. If I have a late night, during the next day, I will feel like
dying, and my brain will not be working. I will feel tired for the whole day and
cannot concentrate on anything.
At last, my goal is trying
not to eat fried food from now on. I will keep away from French fries, potato
chips, and fried chicken. These are such dangerous food that makes you gain
weight unconsciously and be unhealthy. Although they taste really delicious, I
won’t touch it in future.
These are my three goals. I
trust myself that I can achieve them in this school year.
